A major road in Plymouth is completely closed amid a police incident this evening (Friday, November 28).

Tavistock Road is currently closed between Meavy Way and Budshead Way.

Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reported the crash at 9.05pm.

It said: "A386 Tavistock Road in both directions closed due to police incident from Meavy Way to Budshead Way."

The nature of the incident is not known at this time.

Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
