LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A boy is facing charges after a deadly shooting inside a home in the Parkland neighborhood on Friday.

Louisville Metro Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Catalpa Street just after 3 p.m.

Officers arrived and found a male, who they believe is an adult, with gunshot wounds. First responders rendered first aid, but the man died at the scene.

Hours later, police arrested a juvenile male in connection to the shooting. He is facing several charges including murder. Because of his age, no other details have been released.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
