HINESVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - Officers from the Hinesville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of Bacon Road Friday.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Kymonie Matthew, who was shot.

Emergency responders provided immediate aid, and Matthew was then medically ecvacuated to a local hospital for advanced treatment.

The Detective Division is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
