1Thieves steal Mercedes in Nutley burglary then flee second scene in black BMW

Nutley, NJ – Burglars struck early this morning in Nutley, making off with a Mercedes after breaking into a home on Washington Avenue — and later returning to attempt a second break-in on Hillside Avenue before fleeing in a black BMW.

Police say the suspects entered the first residence through an unlocked rear window and stole keys to a Mercedes parked in the driveway. The luxury vehicle was then taken and driven away from the scene before officers could respond.

Shortly after, a separate homeowner on Hillside Avenue reported spotting three individuals in her backyard attempting to break in through a rear window. The suspects failed to gain entry but then tried to get into a neighbor’s vehicle before escapin
