Nottingham Forest has issued a heartbreaking statement on social media following the death of a former player. The Premier League outfit announced the passing of Josh Travis, a former academy goalkeeper, on Friday night.
An official statement from the clubs reads: "Everyone at Nottingham Forest is deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of our former academy goalkeeper Josh Travis. Our thoughts are with Josh’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time."
Ryan Yates has led the tributes, posting a red heart emoji under the post on Instagram . The Forest captain, who joined the club at the age of eight, has always been an excellent ambassador for the academy, on and off the pitch.
