Idaho Red Cross volunteers provide lifeline for families facing disasters

Local American Red Cross volunteers became a lifeline for hundreds of neighbors reeling from disasters across Idaho and East Oregon in 2025.

Working alongside community partners, volunteers responded to more than 180 disasters — most of them home fires — providing safe shelter, warm meals, emotional care and basic health services to families in crisis.
