SOMERSET, Ky. — A Somerset church has received thousands of dollars in donations after a pastor passed a viral TikTok test, allowing the congregation to help multiple families during the holiday season.

A Kentucky woman posing as a mother in need challenged churches to give to a hungry baby. Most churches refused, but Heritage Hope Church of God Pastor Johnny Dunbar agreed to help.

“The baby wasn’t real but it was real to me. The baby was hungry,” Dunbar said.

The woman posted Dunbar’s response on social media, and thousands of people responded with money for the Somerset church.

Church uses donations to help community

Dunbar said the donations have allowed the church to bless others in the community.

“The result of it was a blessing. Now we are able to bless people,” he said.
