A Barrington resident called police on Monday, Nov. 17 after locating a suspicious condition inside the woods at Haines Park.
The resident told police it appeared someone had been clearing a space in the woods — cutting down brush and small trees — to make room for a bike track. The resident said someone had also made ramps in the woods.
Police responded to the area and located the cleared section of woods. Police located a wheelbarrow there also.
According to the dispatch log, the resident told police she feels that the individuals should not be allowed to clear the section of woods “and it is not good for the wildlife or the people that walk dogs in that area.” Police said they will monitor the area.
