Kingston residents should keep their eyes to the sky on Dec. 1 as a CH-146 Griffon helicopter from 1 Wing flies over the city.
According to a news release, the helicopter will be providing familiarization flights for students participating Indigenous Leadership Opportunity Year at the Royal Military Collage of Canada.

The aircraft will operate at altitudes no less than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route. During the flight, officials said residents might hear an unfamiliar noise.
While this is a planned event, the Royal Canadian Air Force flights said they closely monitored weather conditions to ensure public safety.
