Officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded within minutes to the mall following a disturbance involving a reported gunshot. The initial call sparked concern of an active shooter situation, but after a swift on-scene investigation, authorities determined the noise came from an altercation between two individuals who were known to each other.
