BREITUNG TOWNSHIP, Minn. (Northern News Now) - One firefighter was hospitalized after multiple fire departments responded to a fire in the community of Soudan in Breitung Township Friday afternoon.

According to Friends of the Northland Firewire, the blaze was reported around 1:45 in an area off of Jasper Street.

When crews arrived, the garage was fully engulfed in flames.

One firefighter was allegedly hospitalized due to smoke inhalation and minor burns and brought to the Virginia hospital. Their condition is currently not known.

Two other firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation on the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The garage was deemed a total loss. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
