Just two days after the Detroit Lions waived him to create roster space, veteran running back Craig Reynolds has a new home with an AFC division leader.
Per an official announcement on their social media channels, the New England Patriots have signed Reynolds to their practice squad. In a corresponding move, the Patriots released running back Rushawn Baker from the practice squad.
Affectionately known as “Netflix” to teammates and coaches, Reynolds joined the Lions in August 2021 in the middle of training camp as injuries piled up in the backfield. He made an immediate impression, debuting in Detroit’s second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills despite having never practiced with the team.
