A drier, sunnier Saturday is on the way after a windy and snowy Friday in many parts of Massachusetts.
Scattered snow showers are expected to last through the afternoon and end by the early evening, the National Weather Service said. No impacts to travel are expected.
While most of the state should only see “very light amounts” of snow, NWS said parts of Western Massachusetts could see up to 2-5 inches of snow by the end of Friday.
As a result, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the northern part of the Berkshires until 10 p.m.
The advisory applies to Eagle Bridge, North Adams, Pittsfield, Dalton, Stephentown, Hancock, Berlin, Hoosick Falls and Florida. The chance of precipitation is 60% in most of these communities.
