Over the weekend, United Conservative Party members will gather in Edmonton to once again decide the fate of the party.
It seems that every year since the age of COVID, there have been whispers of great upheaval and behind-the-scenes efforts to elect the populist grassroots to the party board. This year, the battle lines are drawn along candidate stances on Alberta independence: candidate lists to help those who support independence choose their votes are being spread on Twitter, while lists supporting party unity are being circulated around backchannels.
