Hilary Pearson admits when first stepping into the role as Brock University’s ninth chancellor, she didn’t know much about what the position entailed. She just knew she didn’t want to be a shadow chancellor — someone who flies in for convocation and flies away.
After serving in senior policy roles for the federal government and spending decades advancing philanthropy in Canada, Pearson found herself with the time and opportunity to embrace the responsibility.
