BUFFALO, N.Y. — Nearly a year after the death of Robert Brooks — a Black man beaten by corrections officers at Marcy Correctional Facility — the family of another incarcerated man says they fear he could have been next.

Kimberly Watson says her husband, Earl Watson, was violently assaulted by corrections officers at Wende Correctional Facility earlier this month, leaving him bruised, urinating blood and terrified he might not survive.

“It’s heartbreaking,” she told 2 On Your Side . “You want everything for the truth.”
