CHICAGO (WLS) -- Black Friday brought a much needed boost of support to businesses Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.
The community has been a hotspot for federal immigration enforcement, and people are trying to bring the area back to life.

It's been a difficult couple months for businesses across Little Villages as many people stayed away from the area because of federal immigration operations. As those operations are now winding down, and the holiday season is in full force, business owners are hoping for more customers.
"It was rough we were struggling in many ways people were getting afraid of getting deported people weren't coming out so sales dropped dramatically," Rosy's Bakery store manager Eduardo Vazquez said.
