When crews arrived, they found a shed behind the restaurant on fire.
The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes and no one was injured, according to fire officials.
In a Facebook post on Friday, the restaurant's owners said the fire was deliberately set.
"Last night, while celebrating Thanksgiving with our families, our business was the target of arson. We are grateful to report that no one was injured," the post said.
The owners thanked Derby firefighters and police for their quick work to keep the situation from becoming worse.
