MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The city of Madison will deploy 32 snow plows starting around midnight for the first major storm of the season.

The city plans to hit Madison’s main thoroughfares first, focusing on salt routes as the top priority despite leaves still covering many roads.

“They should expect some delays at the very least with this, because our first priority is going to be attacking the roads,” City of Madison Streets Division Spokesperson Bryan Johnson said.

West side resident Bob Pellegrino spent the day preparing his home for the incoming snow, including putting up Christmas decorations earlier than usual.

“When I looked at the forecast, I thought I better get them up today or I probably won’t get them up this year,” Pellegrino said.
