Buying a car is undoubtedly expensive - but did you know that a UK Government scheme could help you save money? Launched this year, the Electric Car Grant (ECG) aims to make electric vehicles more accessible and as of this week, it covers almost 40 models.
Currently, there are two main 'bands' in the ECG scheme, and the majority of qualifying vehicles (35) fall into Band 2. In turn, this means cars like the Cupra Born, Nissan Micra and various others are eligible for a maximum discount of £1,500, which is applied during the final purchase.
A further four vehicles are categorised as Band 1 and are eligible for an even larger discount of up to £3,750. The Citroën ë-C5 Aircross Long Range, the Ford
