CHICAGO -- The Cubs snapped a four-year postseason drought this past season and fell one win shy of reaching the National League Championship Series . There is work to be done this offseason to strengthen the roster for another chance at a deeper run next fall, but there is plenty to build on.

As Chicago works to address the need for multiple relievers and at least one starting pitcher -- while preparing for the potential departure of star outfielder Kyle Tucker in free agency -- it can at least be thankful that there is a solid foundation in place for 2026.
