A Central Florida nonprofit has partnered with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office to help locate missing seniors by donating a trained bloodhound named Max.

Karla Radka, president of the Senior Resource Alliance, said, "This bloodhound is highly trained to be able to find individuals in the community that are lost. And this is very important because we serve a community of seniors where some may be living with dementia."

Radka explained that the organization also donated scent kits to the department.

"We also donated scent kits and these are evidence-based kits that trap the scent of an individual and the scent of an individual is as unique as their fingerprint or your iris," she said.
