ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Stores across Central Louisiana opened early Friday morning for customers looking for Black Friday deals.
The Academy Sports and Outdoor store opened at 5 a.m. Because of the cold weather, many patrons waited in their cars until the last couple of minutes before Academy opened.
Thirty people lined up right before the doors were unlocked, with more arriving within the hour.
Employees said the number of shoppers has decreased from previous Black Fridays but appreciate the amount of customers coming in so early.
For many shoppers, this was the beginning of an entire day of shopping to get the best savings they can.
“I love Black Friday shopping. It’s just a great, fun experience that me and my family used to do whenever I was a kid. So now I continue it as an ad
