ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police are investigating after they say two separate groups exchanged gunfire Friday evening, officials say.

According to the Arlington Police Department, officers were called about shots being fired near a business in the 4200 block of South Cooper Street. Initial information reportedly revealed the two groups exchanged gunfire after encountering each other, police say.

No victims have been found so far, police added. Detectives are working to identify and find the suspects involved.

Police say the shooting didn't happen on Parks Mall property, and that there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the public.

The investigation is still ongoing.
