Marcus Freeman has established himself as one of the greatest in-season turnaround artists in college football in just four seasons as head coach at Notre Dame.

In Freeman's first season, the Irish started 0-2 before rallying for nine wins in their final 11 games. Two years later, they lost to Northern Illinois in Week 2, only to bounce back with 13 wins in a row on the way to an appearance in the national championship game.

This year has featured a similar story. Down but not out at 0-2, Freeman's team has rallied for nine victories in a row with a chance to grab a 10th and send the program to double-digit wins for the eighth time in nine seasons when it faces rival Stanford late tonight in California.
