ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Twin Cities man pleads not guilty for an Olmsted County collision that injured one person.

Jared Arellano, 24 of Minneapolis, is charged with two counts of criminal vehicular operation.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says at around 2:18 am on August 1, Arellano caused an accident near the intersection of 20 th Street and North Main Street in Stewartville. Arellano was allegedly heading south at a high rate of speed in a Dodge Avenger and hit a Hyundai Elantra driven by a 49-year-old man from Rochester.

Witnesses say the Elantra had the green light.

The Rochester man suffered a laceration to his leg and both he and Arellano were taken to St. Marys hospital for evaluation.
