MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - With the first significant snowfall of the season set to hit this weekend, Dane County leaders held a press conference on Friday to address how they plan to respond.
They are warning to everyone to take necessary safety precautions.
Dane County Executive Melissa Agard said people should stay off the roads and focus on getting any errands done before the storms hits.
“If you don’t need to be on the roads please don’t go on the roads,” said Agard. “If you need to go to the store to get some provisions, please go today [Friday]. Don’t wait for the snow to start falling in our community.”
Agard advised drivers to slow down, be patient and stay back from plow trucks.
“Our plow truck drivers deserve to be able to go home back to their families safely and we know that
