LIMA, Ohio — Undefeated Liberty Center continued its offensive and defensive mastery in the Division V playoffs and earned a spot in the state title game for the third consecutive year.
The Tigers rolled to a 42-10 rout over Lewistown Indian Lake in a D-V state semifinal at Lima Spartan Stadium on Friday night.
No. 1 ranked Liberty Center (14-0) hummed on offense and throttled the Lakers on defense to take a 28-10 lead at the half on Indian Lake (11-3).
The Tigers will be making the program’s sixth appearance in the state final overall.
LC advances to play either Wheelersburg (13-0) or Youngstown Cardinal Mooney (10-2) in the state title game next Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Canton.
