PHOENIX — Both directions of the Bell Road exits on Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway were closed due to a fatal crash on Friday night, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
The Glendale Police Department added that the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m.
ADOT advised drivers to use either Union Hills or Thunderbird roads as their freeway exit point.
According to Glendale police, two people were pulled from the crashed vehicle, one being pronounced dead on the scene from their injuries and the other with “serious injuries.” The second person was taken to a nearby hospital.
There is no estimated time for reopening.
