We’re in the midst of the Thanksgiving holidays, which usually is accompanied by enough snow to allow us early ski season bragging rights. Unfortunately, that’s not the case this year since very little of Mother Nature’s bounty has fallen from the skies so far, and according to the weather gurus whom I rely upon for snow predictions, they’re mixed in their guesses for when snow conditions will improve in any significant way.
In his latest weekly report, Snowmass Village Town Manager Clint Kinney bemoaned September’s sales tax numbers, which were down about 15% compared with the same month in 2024. Meanwhile, the village’s lodging tax was up slightly, but still about 2% behind budget year to date.
