STONEWALL, La. — A Shreveport woman has died from injuries sustained when her vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer earlier this week.
Louisiana State Police reported that the victim, Brandy Thomas, 35, of Shreveport, was stopped at a red light on U.S. Highway 171 near Griffin Drive on Nov. 26. A 2015 Freightliner Cascadia failed to stop for the light and collided with her 2024 Nissan Altima.
Thomas was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries and was pronounced dead on Nov. 28. The truck driver was uninjured, and impairment is not suspected. The crash remains under investigation.
