GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Many families the day after Thanksgiving start putting up their Christmas trees or do a little shopping. But if you're shopping for a Christmas tree, it may end up costing you more this year. Due to an executive order signed by President Donald Trump, the price of artificial trees could increase by 10-30% because of tariffs.
At Jolly Nelson's trees in Greendale, they've been busier than normal on their first day of the season. Owner Randal Counard said Friday's rush was "really crazy" because more people came on friday instead of Saturday, ahead of the snow storm, "I had to have a couple extra people come today because it was just slammed nonstop."
