EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - No. 3/3-ranked Michigan State hockey successfully swept Colgate on Friday afternoon, taking down the Raiders 4-1 from Ron Mason Rink at Munn Ice Arena to conclude its Thanksgiving week non-conference series.
“Good finish to the weekend,” said Michigan State head coach Adam Nightingale . “I liked the way we started. I thought (Eric) Nilson’s line was really good, probably our best line, and consistent. We asked our D to be better. I thought they were better. We’ll get some rest here and have a great week of practice coming up.”
MSU improves to 11-3-0 on the season, while Colgate falls to 5-9-2 overall. The Spartans return to the ice at Munn next Friday when they meet top-ranked Michigan at 8:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
