ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A Ste. Genevieve man was charged Wednesday after investigators found a missing Rockford, Illinois, teen in his apartment.
Ste. Genevieve Prosecutors charged 26-year-old Sean N. Coffey with four counts of second-degree statutory rape. Coffey is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
According to a Ste. Genevieve City Police Department affidavit, an officer from a Winnebago County, Illinois, police department contacted them, saying they believed Coffey had a missing teen in his apartment. When police went to the apartment, they found a 16-year-old girl who had gone missing from Rockford, Illinois.
The missing teen told investigators that she was in a relationship with Coffey and he had picked her up from her Rockford home on Nov. 3. Rockford is 350 miles
