After 24 games, the Brantford Bulldogs finally have a loss in regulation.

Facing the Brampton Steelheads (11-12-1-1) on the road on Friday, Brantford Minor Hockey Association graduate Gabriel Chiarot fired home the game-winner on a five-on-three advantage with 14 seconds remaining in regulation to hand the Bulldogs (18-1-4-1) a 2-1 loss.

Brantford and Brampton played back-to-back games in mid-October with Brantford winning both by a combined score of 16-6 but a game between the two teams on Nov. 15 was much closer with Brantford winning 5-4.

In Friday;’s game, MacGregor Richmond opened the scoring for Brampton in the first period before Jake O’Brien, on the power play, responded for Brantford in the second.

Adam Jiricek got the lone assist on O’Brien’s goal.
