ROTTERDAM JUNCTION — Parents, students, passersby and residents can enjoy a new little library in Rotterdam. Built by Schalmont High Schooler Mikayla Carey, the big birdhouse-like structure sits on the nearly reopened Woestina Pre-K campus.
Carey said the idea came from her grandparents who talked about the little library they pass while driving back from guitar lessons in Scotia. Carey, who’s 16, was looking for an Eagle Scout leadership project.
