AMSTERDAM — Vacant and uninhabitable apartments in Amsterdam will be transformed into safe and affordable homes through a $2.5 million state grant awarded to Better Community Neighborhoods, Inc. (BCNI) in partnership with the city.
“We're going to take dilapidated and vacant property, revitalize it, and not only add additional affordable housing stock to the marketplace for renters in Amsterdam, but by extension, improving neighborhoods and streets in the city and removing what might be an eyesore of a property today,” said Matthew Nelson, CEO of , on Wednesday.
