LEWISTOWN, Pa. — Aliquippa could have given up the ghost and mailed it in when the team went to the intermission trialing Twin Valley by 22.

It was almost enough to pull off one of the greatest comebacks in state championship football history.
Aliquippa quarterback Marques Council played a near-flawless second half as he engineered three third-quarter touchdowns to get the team back within striking distance. But the Quips (10-4) ran out of magic and Council’s final heave on fourth-and-24 from the Twin Valley 25 fell incomplete as the Raiders escaped with a 28-24 victory in the PIAA Class 4A semifinals Friday at Mifflin County Hig
