SHREVEPORT, La. - Crowds of shoppers filled Shreveport-Bossier shopping centers for Black Friday.
Parking lots were full, traffic slowed to a crawl along Youree Drive and people flocked to stores to grab deals for the holidays.
"The turnout has been really good today. We started at 5 a.m. and had about 407 customers show up this morning. Out of those 407, 250 of them received a gift card valued anywhere between $10 and $500," said Bass Pro Shops GSM Erick Hendricks.
Some shoppers said most of the time spent on shopping was used on finding a parking space and navigating through traffic.
"It's crazy out here. Specifically the parking lot," said Emma.
Customers said Black Friday is a tradition in their families and the holiday helps them spend time and money on their loved ones.
