WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Indiana Hoosiers are headed to the Big Ten Championship game — and they're taking the Old Oaken Bucket with them.
Roman Hemby ran for 152 yards and a touchdown and the Hoosiers (12-0) scored the last 49 points of the game to rout Purdue, 56-3.
The win puts Indiana in the conference title game for the first time, though their opponent won't be decided until Saturday afternoon. If Ohio State beats Michigan in Ann Arbor, the Big Ten title game will match the No. 1 Buckeyes against the second-ranked Hoosiers. If the Wolverines can beat their rivals for the fifth straight season, Indiana's opponent will be decided by Saturday's other rivalry game on the West Coast.
In the case of an Ohio State loss, Oregon can earn a spot in the title game by beating Washington.
