DUNWOODY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Georgia and Georgia Tech fans are combining their Black Friday shopping with game day preparations, creating busy scenes at Atlanta-area sporting goods stores.
At Academy Sports and Outdoors in Dunwoody, steady foot traffic has continued throughout the morning as fans pick up team apparel and tailgating supplies ahead of the rivalry game.
“There’s always a lot of excitement when you have in-state rivals playing one another. Especially when both rivals are playing at a high level like they are right now,” store director Chris Fairchild said. “So yeah, it’s a little more electric this year than maybe in years past.”
