GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — In the Gary household, the rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan isn’t just about football. It’s a family tradition.
Elizabeth Gary, an Ohio State fan, and her husband Jeremy, a Michigan supporter, have embraced the friendly competition in their home.
“We will kind of get at each other," Elizabeth joked. "We have our own flags, we have our own pillows and everything — so I think we have a good time with the rivalry game every year."
“We grew up in northwest Ohio, so it’s 50-50 split there," Jeremy explained. “No good reason to it. Didn’t go to Michigan. Didn’t have family in Michigan. That’s just how I grew up — a fan of the team."
