JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Two Jamestown residents were arrested Tuesday after officers responding to a home check on the city’s east side discovered 10 animals suffering from severe neglect, according to

The Jamestown Police Department said that around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to help Department of Development and Probation personnel with a home check at an east side address. During the visit, investigators found that 31-year-old Jessica Brown and 45-year-old Joshua Pangborn had failed to provide food and water for six dogs and four cats.

"This resulted in the animals becoming severely emaciated," police said Friday in a statement.
