Bristol Live readers have heard that a week after announcing plans to remove live-in vehicles from the edge of The Downs, Bristol City Council has provided no details on how it intends to enforce the move.

The council confirmed last week that it would start enforcement after evidence showed parts of The Downs were being used as a toilet, designating the area a “High Impact” site. “Clearly, we cannot just stand back and allow this to happen,” said Councillors Barry Parsons and Stephen Williams. “We have a duty to make sure the Downs is accessible to all and not turning into ‘no go’ zones.”
