Four area teams took the field Friday night, a win away from reaching the state championship.
The Belton-Honea Path Bears improved to 14-0, rolling past Powdersville 35-7, to reach the 3A title game for the second straight season.
The Bears will face Oceanside Collegiate next Friday at noon in Orangeburg in a rematch of last year's championship won by the Landsharks.
In the 5A-D1 Upper State final, Dutch Fork beat Dorman, 30-10. The Silver Foxes will make their tenth consecutive state championship appearance next week.
Westside traveled to South Pointe in a rematch of last year's 4A Upper State championship. But unlike a year ago, the Rams were shut out by the Stallions, 40-10, ending Westside's hopes of reaching a third straight state championship.
