MEDINA, Ohio – City council has agreed that even after the holiday season, lights on the buildings and streetscape trees can stay up and lit through the Ice Festival.
Economic Development Director Kimberly Marshall reminded council that the lights stayed up and on last year as well through the Ice Festival, which is set to take place Feb. 20-23.
“I don’t know if we need a formal vote, but I wanted to talk to council about leaving the lights on the buildings and trees,” she said. “I know we will take down the Christmas decorations and the lights on the gazebo, but leaving the lights on the buildings will help combat seasonal affective disorder.
