REDDING, Calif. - The Redding Police Department is investigating a vehicle vs pedestrian collision on Hilltop Drive Friday evening that sent one person to the hospital with critical injuries.

Authorities say at around 5:20 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to Hilltop Drive in Redding after dispatch received a report of a vehicle vs pedestrian crash taking place. According to the Redding Police Department, it was reported as a possible hit and run crash

Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a person who was suffering from critical injuries. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of their injuries.
