Television chef James Martin has disclosed he once "got in trouble" with producers for describing a cherished space in his residence as a "man cave". The 53-year-old has established himself as a familiar presence on British television since the 1990s.

He has hosted programmes including James Martin: Yorkshire's Finest and Saturday Kitchen, whilst also featuring on shows such as Ready Steady Cook. His present programme, Saturday Morning with James Martin, is filmed from a purpose-built kitchen at his Hampshire residence.
