FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A winter storm will move through 21Country this weekend, causing travel impacts across the region.

We’ve issued First Alert Weather Days for Saturday AND Sunday because of the expected impacts from this winter storm.

TIMELINE

Saturday morning : Light snow moves in. Travel is OK

Saturday Afternoon : Snow picks up. Travel worsens. Highs in the low 30s.

Saturday Evening : - Sunday AM: Widespread Snow: Hazardous Travel. Lows in mid 20s.

Sunday : Scattered Lake Effect Snow. Travel improving, but refreeze is possible late. Highs in low 30s.

SNOW TOTALS

From Saturday through Sunday night, snow totals will generally be around 4-6″ or more for places along US 24, including Fort Wayne. North of US 24, snow totals of 6-8″ or more is possible, with 10″ of snow
