Mass arrests likely at Bristol protest today as campaigners challenge Palestine Action ban View 3 Images
Campaigners planning a mass protest in the centre of Bristol today (Saturday, November 29) have been ‘reminded’ by police that they will be committing an offence if they hold up a sign expressing support for Palestine Action.
The protesters are planning to repeat previous protests in London, Cornwall, Devon, Gloucester and Bristol , where campaigners challenge police to arrest them by holding up signs expressing support for the campaign group that has been proscribed by the British Government.
Avon and Somerset police have said that they do not expect any ‘significant disruption’ to members of the public in the city centre today.
The protesters have not said they intend to march
